We have been looking at how to open our meetings to an even wider range of residents
14 December, 2018
• I WAS glad to see the letter last week from a Highbury East resident expressing interest in our ward partnership meetings, (What happened to Highbury East’s much-missed forums? December 7).
During the last four years our ward held regular meetings – at least four a year. These were well attended, with between 40 and 100 people.
I was grateful to every council officer, external guest and resident who came and contributed ideas about the workings of our ward.
Since the election in May, we have been looking at how to open our meetings to an even wider range of residents, which would of course be welcome.
I very much hope that I and my fellow ward councillors can agree and publish a programme of meetings with dates early in the new year.
