Two injured in linked Bloomsbury and Soho stabbings

A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after two linked stabbings on Sunday.
Police were called to the first on Romilly Street, in Soho, at 6am where a 37-year-old man was found with stab injuries. He was taken to hospital and is in a life-threatening condition, said the Met Police.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested near to the scene and remains in custody.
Later that morning just after 11.30am, police were called to a teenager being stabbed in University Street, in Bloomsbury.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital and his injuries are not being treated as life-threatening.
A 34-year-old man was arrested near the scene in connection with the Bloomsbury stabbing. He was then further arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over the Soho attack.
The Met said: “The arrested man has been taken to hospital having told officers that he had swallowed a quantity of drugs. We await an assessment of his condition.
“We await an assessment of his condition. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of both incidents.”
Police added that nobody else was being sought in connection with the incidents.
