Touch courage! Trophy joy for Elite aces

31 October, 2019 — By Steve Barnett

A SQUAD made up of footballers from across Camden and Islington have their sights set on the Premier League after “producing the perfect game” to score silverware on Saturday.

Pro Touch Elite won four games out of four to win the West Ham Foundation Inclusive Cup in Beckton, east London.

And to make the victory even more impressive, they didn’t concede a single goal.

The competition was open to young adults with special educational needs. Pro Touch won the Championship, and will now take part in the Premier League when they return to the tournament next year.

“It was great to come home with a souvenir,” said team manager Paul Davis.

“The trophy symbolises all the hard work that the players have put in behind the scenes. I couldn’t have asked for more from my players, they all did a fantastic job.”
