Taxi drivers should switch off their engines when they can
27 February, 2017
• LONDON’S diesel pollution could be greatly decreased if taxi drivers were encouraged to switch off their engines instead of allowing them to run while they await customers.
Sometimes outside railway stations you can see half a dozen taxis, all with their engines running, their fumes then entering our bodies.
The government needs to introduce new regulations if pollution is to be reduced.
