Square sculptures are a mystery
20 April, 2018
THEY appeared over night, but who placed these multi-coloured sculptures, which brightened up the lawns of Soho Square this week, is a mystery.
Were they some form of subliminal advertising?
Were they the product of a campaign against dog poo?
Or were they an offering by a young British artist, creating an installation to make Diary sit up and take note of their stupendous artistic vision?
Whatever they were, they provided a talking point for the office workers on lunch breaks, and something for the more adventurous Soho-ites tentatively to kick to see if they were made of the real thing and gently coloured in, or were well-crafted rubber lookalikes.
