Snap happy: City Hall gets down with the kids

10 February, 2017

One Day – Hamza Taouzzale outside No 10

AS if teenagers need any encouragement to take selfies and swoon over pop icon Justin Bieber, Westminster Council is encouraging them to do just that.

The down-with-the-kids team over at City Hall have launched a contest, via their own Instagram account, giving away tickets to see the pop star live in action.

They are calling on Westminster’s under-19s to “take a creative selfie at your favourite #CityWestminster spot and tag it with #BieberinWestminster”.

The post is accompanied by a rather fetching shot of the What do you mean? singer, clutching his locks and pouting moodily at the camera, outside Westminster Abbey.

The person who takes the best selfie – or picture of oneself, to those not in the know – could win two tickets to see the Biebs play live this July. So far the council’s promotion has drawn at least one contender: Westminster’s outgoing youth MP Hamza Taouzzale.

He kicked things off by sending a picture of himself outside 10 Downing Street captioned “One Day”.
