Stride and barrelhouse piano styles are being played by Tim Penn in the Green Note Basement this Saturday evening (June 2). Penn is one of most “in demand” keyboard players on the roots, songwriter and blues scene. His influences range through the great New Orleans players like Professor Longhair, Fats Domino and Dr John.

• Some lovely music is being played by the London Mozart Players Chamber Ensemble and pianist Simon Callaghan at Conway Hall, Holborn, on Sunday evening (June 3).
