• More music is being performed in the British Museum’s wonderful Europe and the World Festival over the next few days. In particular, there’s an opportunity to catch Ligeti’s famed Poeme Symphonique for 100 metronomes at three separate “drop-in” performances on Saturday (April 28). www.britishmuseum.org/whats_on/europe_and_the_world.aspx

• A glorious night of Russian music and opera is promised at Rosslyn Hill, Hampstead, this Saturday evening (April 28). Performing are violinist Sarah Harrison and accordion player Igor Outkine. Concert proceeds are going to the UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund and also to UCH itself. Rosslyn Hill, Hampstead High Street, 07944 909 4421, 7.30pm, £20

• Music from the golden age of jazz is being performed by Miss Rosie and her swinging band the Moonshyne Runners at the Map Studio Cafe, Kentish Town, on Sunday evening (April 29). Expect to hear classic tunes made famous by iconic singers as Billie Holiday, Chris Connor and Anita O’Day. http://mapstudiocafe.com/events/miss-rosies-swinging-soiree/
