THE Westminster Society – a charity for people with learning disabilities – held a wine-tasting event and raised £3,000.
Wine expert Riki Hutchinson hosted the event at the 1850s Wychcombe artists’ studios in Belsize Park on Tuesday night.
Around 70 guests were welcomed with glasses of bubbly before being presented the nine different wines to choose from.
Canapés were served throughout the tasting and the money raised will be donated to a project called “Our Lives”, which works with older people with learning disabilities and people with dementia.
The Westminster Society has worked around London since its foundation in 1962, with the aim of ensuring that people with learning disabilities live with dignity and respect, receiving the support that they both want and need.
