Arsenal and Spurs players follow social-distancing measures during workouts, as plans to restart the season are unveiled
ARSENAL and Spurs players returned to training this week, ahead of the Premier League’s plan to restart the suspended season in June.
However, it was a far cry from normality as the coronavirus crisis continues to be felt.
Stars from both north London clubs will be asked to travel alone, do their individual workouts and return straight home afterwards in accordance with government social-distancing measures.
The Premier League have been given until May 25 to provide UEFA with plans on how the remaining matches can safely be completed.
The league are hopeful of a potential June 8 restart and finishing at the end of July. For that to be realistic clubs would require full team training to begin by May 18.
This week saw top-flight seasons in both France and the Netherlands cancelled.
