A FOOTBALL freestyler broke a world record at a healthy living awards ceremony in Westminster. Dan Magness completed more than 128 skips in one minute while juggling a football on his head at the Active Westminster awards at Lord’s Cricket Ground, in St John’s Wood, on Friday.
Olympic runner Perri Shakes-Drayton handed out the prizes at the event set up for people and organisations promoting healthy lifestyles.
There were 10 category winners including Westminster Girls Volleyball coach Ildiko Dobos, Jubilee Hall Trust chair Steve Cabrera and Deryn Bath who set up Open Age’s Steady and Stable programme.
Cllr David Harvey, sports and leisure chief at the council, said: “Congratulations to all the winners and those who were highly commended, and I hope to see sports and physical activity continue to thrive thanks to all the volunteers, clubs, institutions and leaders we have in Westminster.”
