Let’s ban smoking and vaping

29 March, 2019

• NOWADAYS wherever you go you smell cancer – in hospitals, the bus stands, shopping centres – so how about introducing no-smoking and no-vaping zones?

Does the government have the will to ban smoking in public places like other European countries?

In central London the pollution has become so extreme that by the time you reach home you feel sticky with vehicle fumes. A white shirt will be black and smoky.

In St Martin’s Lane and Garrick Street, you can even get a smell of coal burning from a club and there’s a gas torch burning 24/7 in one restaurant. Health and safety is not being observed.

I am a former soldier and have been working in central London as a concierge for 12 years.
