I want my MP to do more at a local level

15 March, 2019

• IS it time for a Member of Parliament who will champion local residents? I have lived in the constituency for 10 years now and I find it remarkable that we have an MP that seems to have so little regard for local issues.

In the parts of London that I have previously lived, the MPs, whether they be blue or red, have always tried to get involved locally to champion the concerns of their constituents. Our MP seems to just tweet or write about his work as a junior minister.

Residents of Soho need a representative who will listen to their concerns, meet constituents, challenge the developers, the council and the police to do more to improve the area.

I would like Mark Field to be more of a voice for us and make sure our voice, the voice of central London residents is being heard.
