Get out and vote on May 23
25 April, 2019
• THE European election due to take place on May 23 is about one question only: do we remain in the European Union?
I am a proud European, and I see this election as our opportunity to send the message loud and clear that we want to remain.
The nature of the election means it really matters that you vote for a party which is unequivocal on this.
Not voting in the European elections is a vote for Brexit. With Jeremy Corbyn pushing a Brexit-supporting ally onto the list of possible Labour MEPs, a vote for Labour could deliver Brexit too.
This would put at risk thousands of local jobs, our solidarity with European Union neighbours and friends, and our identity as a diverse and open community which looks outward to the world with friendship and love.
The deadline for registration, open to all United Kingdom and EU residents, is May 7. This is not a general election or a council election. This election is about Europe. Use your vote as an opportunity to send the message loud and clear that we want to remain.
