Freeview support is available

26 April, 2018

• I WAS sorry to hear that Nick Harding has had problems receiving Al Jazeera on Freeview, (Trouble with TV set?, April 12).

Technical changes were made to Freeview TV signals from the Crystal Palace transmitter on March 21 and some channels moved to new airwaves.

These changes were required by the government to allow for the future launch of new mobile broadband services.

If any of your readers have recently found they are missing Freeview channels, retuning their TV or box should restore these in most cases.

But anyone who needs help with this or who finds this does not bring these channels back should call the Freeview advice line, free, on 0808 100 0288 for assistance, as Mr Harding notes.

We want everyone to enjoy the great range of free programmes available on Freeview. Where we cannot restore channels over the phone due to this required change, viewers may be eligible for free in-home support, including aerial work if needed.

More information about the changes and the support available is at www.freeview.co.uk/tvchanges.
