Egg-static children enjoyed seasonal arts and crafts session

THERE were plenty of egg-citing activities at Queen’s Park library over the Easter holidays

Last Wednesday, children searched high and low around the library in Harrow Road, on the hunt for sweet treats.

The event was so popular that the library had to put on a second egg hunt.

Then, when everybody had their prizes, it was time to get creative with an arts and crafts session, making colourful eggs and Easter cards.

The library also had visit from the Prospero Theatre group, who put on a musical play called Elephant of My Heart. It was the story of a little girl recovering in hospital who was paid a visit by an elephant and a whole host of other animals.

The youngsters were then encouraged to decide which animal would be their inner guide – answers ranged from a chipmunk to the more unusual chimera.
