DETECTIVES are desperate for help in catching the latest moped gang to get away with a massive haul from a West End smash and grab.
Fendi, Miu Miu, Hugo Boss, Browns and House of Fraser have all been hit in smash-and-grab raids.
And now high-end handbags worth £100,000 have been snatched from Prada, in Old Bond Street. CCTV has shown the September 21 raid which lasted just a few minutes, during which a security guard was knocked off his feet and beaten over the head and back.
DC Paul Clarke, of Westminster CID, said: “There appears to be little planning ahead of the raids but high-value stores are singled out with entry forced in the quickest possible manner by the group who have smashed large display windows using weapons and scooters.”
No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to call Westminster CID on 07500 766 462 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
