Dame Anne Griffiths

DAME Anne Griffiths, who was the archivist for Prince Philip, and a churchwarden at St Marks, Primrose Hill, died last Friday at the age of 84.

She started working in the library after applying for the job aged 20, in the early 1950s.

After she retired in 1984 Dame Anne continued to work three days a week driving to Buckingham Palace until the last few months of her life when she gave up her position.

Dame Anne (pictured) lived near St Marks in Prince Albert Road before moving to Cumberland Terrace.
