GALLERY owners Rob and Nick Carter have just launched a new paint exhibition in “Connaught Village” and the public are invited to come and celebrate with them on Saturday.
The Paint Pigment Photographs display in the gallery in Bathurst Street, Bayswater, showcases the husband and wife duo’s special artworks inspired by Hindu festival of colours, Holi.
The couple have been collaborating for more than 20 years and their paintings and photos have been displayed in major galleries in New York, Paris, and London.
“The images are about colour and an unpredictable interaction with form and light,” said the gallery owners.
And the act of throwing paint pigment is an “essential aspect of the finished work” with images captured at 1/8000th of a second to “retain the energy” of the moment.
Bellinis and Bloody Marys between 10am and 1pm on Saturday.
