CAMPAIGNERS met politicians in Parliament on Wednesday night for a rally against privatisation in museums.
The shadow secretary of state for business, energy and industrial strategy Rebecca Long- Bailey and shadow minister for arts and heritage Kevin Brennan, Chris Stephens MP for the SNP and chair of the PCS Parliamentary group, were joined by Janice Godrich, president of PCS union, and Mark Serwotka, general secretary of PCS.
Clara Paillard, president of PCS Culture Group, also spoke about the “disaster of the privatisation”.
It comes on the back of a campaign by the PCS for British Museum management to secure the future of over 100 facilities management and cleaning services staff.
Following the collapse of Carillion staff at the famous museum have been left without an employer.
