Bach and du Sautoy explore the universe and everything

The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment has an interesting series running on Sunday mornings as an alternative to going to church. Called Bach, the Universe and Everything, it explores the common ground between music and science. And this Sunday it has Oxford professor Marcus du Sautoy talking about artificial intelligence on a platform shared with a performance of one of Bach’s Christmas-period cantatas – this being the first day of Advent.
Whether AI could ever produce something as sophisticated and sublime as a Bach cantata is an interesting question – and one that du Sautoy will no doubt discuss. 11.30am, December 1, £16.50, Kings Place, York Way, N1. 020 7520 1490, www.kingsplace.co.uk
