Attempted murder charge for woman in Whittington attack

A WOMAN has been charged with attempted murder after a man was shot in the buttocks just outside Whittington Park.

As reported in the Tribune, neighbours said they had been left “too intimidated” to use the park at night following the attack.

The park was closed after the shooting, in which a 36-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and back on July 22.

A cordon was also in place at the Wedmore estate where it is believe the man had been shot. He was taken to hospital by ambulance where his injuries were deemed not life-threatening.

Four people from Brent, Waltham Forest, Camden and Enfield were arrested in connection with the attack.

Jamie-Lee Reilly, 32, from Enfield, was charged on July 26 with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger. She was bailed to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on August 28.

Terry Junior Dixon, 28, from Camden, was also charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger, and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey next Friday.

Salah’din Kerbouba, 24, from Waltham Forest, was charged with driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on July 25 and was sentenced to eight weeks’ imprisonment and was disqualified for a further 35 months.
