ARSENAL and Scotland star Kim Little has been ruled out for up to 10 weeks after suffering a fractured fibula following a heavy challenge by Chelsea midfielder Drew Spence on Sunday.
Little has enjoyed an exceptional season so far, scoring in all four of the Gunners’ Women’s Super League games and helping Scotland qualify for next year’s Women’s World Cup.
Replying to a social media post that shared footage of the tackle, for which Spence received a yellow card, England defender Lucy Bronze said players are “repeatedly let down by the standard of officiating”.
“Real shame for Kim, Arsenal and the league. Fans come to watch players like her play,” the Lyon player posted on Twitter.
“But REPEATEDLY let down by the standard of officiating (not all officiating, may I add). But there’s a real underlying problem somewhere. My yearly rant.”
